USAID- Research by Graduate Students on Global Food Security

The U.S. Borlaug Fellows in Global Food Security supports U.S. graduate students who are interested in implementing a component of their graduate research in a developing country in collaboration with a mentor from an International Agricultural Research Center (IARC) or a qualifying National Agricultural Research System (NARS). The program especially welcomes applications for research in countries of “Feed the Future” (Bangladesh, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nepal, Rwanda, Senegal, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia). Applicants must be U.S. citizens who are enrolled in accredited U.S. graduate programs. All topics that relate to food security (e.g., agriculture, nutrition, ecological resources, poverty, etc.) are admissible. The deadline for applications is 09 November 2015.
